Maleny Engagement Shoot – Jess + James
A few weeks ago we travelled to the picturesque town of Maleny, set in the hills of the Sunshine Coast, to meet up with Jess and James for a 3 hour engagement shoot.
It was such a gorgeous afternoon! The light was golden, filtering through a light summer haze. Usually summer isn’t the best time of year for making photos due to the heat and strong sun. But Maleny is 425m above sea level, which means temperatures are lower even in the warmer months. Plus there was a lovely summer breeze.
Needless to say, we had an absolute blast! James and Jess are both lovely people. Lots of laughs were had. You can easily see their love is genuine and that they have a great relationship. We’re sure they have a very bright future ahead of them.
Check out Jame’s engagement message video below. We also recorded one with Jess – keep an eye out for it on Facebook. These are a cute little something extra we can do for couples who want to have something more to remember their engagement shoot.
We’re really excited for the big day in a much looking forward to their big day at Weddings At Tiffany’s, in October.
The view from the Maleny Botanic Gardens out towards the very unique looking Glasshouse Mountains.
The famous giant purple seat and some big smiles.
The Maleny Botanic Gardens has lots of gorgeous sitting areas throughout. This is one of many!
Making good use of the view. We lit this using some nice lights we bought along. No flashes.
The gardens are very well maintained, and despite the heat of summer, were still lovely and green.
This bridge was a little bit fun! And slightly wobbly.
The Rembrandt Pond at Maleny Botanic Gardens really lives up to its name with its painterly beauty.
Did you know this is one of Australia’s most photographed trees? One Tree Hill has raised over $40k for community groups, too.
